EMT Academy
Virginia Beach EMS holds regular emergency medical technician (EMT) academies to train future volunteers to serve the Virginia Beach community and support the volunteer rescue system.
Hundreds of volunteers earn their National Registry EMT certification through the Virginia Beach EMS EMT Academy every single year. Our EMT Academies provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for future volunteers to provide excellent patient care to the Virginia Beach community.
Once you complete one of our EMT Academies, you will be eligible for National Registry testing. Upon obtaining EMT certification, you will begin the internship process to operate as an attendant-in-charge.
